A job we recently finished had cabinets that were painted by hand previously, and whoever did it used the wrong type of paint. They used an oil hybrid paint which led to the cabinets having a decreased durability. The fact that they were painted by hand meant that there were brush marks everywhere and whoever painted the cabinets didn’t remove any of the hardware resulting in paint being on the hardware. The proper way to paint is to remove all of the hardware so that the entire surface gets painted.
Before After
We were also asked to fill the holes in all of the drawers and some of the doors so that smaller pulls could be used and also have them relocated. It was a lot of work but the cabinets look like they came this way from the factory now.
